4 Posh Burgundy Wedding Color Schemes We’re Loving

Burgundy is bold. It’s lush and intense, and when it’s paired with the right colors, burgundy accents can create a luxurious backdrop for your wedding ceremony and reception. Which makes sense, because if there’s any day you deserve to feel like royalty, it’s on your wedding day! Need some ideas for creative burgundy color palettes? We’ve compiled some of our favorites!

Burgundy & Blush

So much in common, yet so different. Pairing burgundy with a blushing pink creates a scene that’s both bold and feminine. Burgundy can be intense, and pairing it with white accents and pale pink balances it out and provides a striking contrast. Marsala & Gold

Marsala may have been the Pantone Color of the Year for 2015, but we think pairing it with gold creates a timeless wedding look. This fun shoot from Chic Vintage Brides has some great ideas—like rustic table settings and simple but elegant ribbon accents.

Burgundy & Gold [Take 2]

We’re a tad heart-eyed over this creative color scheme that brings lush burgundy and rich gold down to earth with rustic accents. This decor was for a winter wedding, but it would also work well for fall!

Vintage Elegance

TBH, we’re dying for a slice of that amazing cake, though it almost seems like a shame to cut into it. This lovely reception featured burgundy along with dusty rose, gold and copper for a delightful vintage feel. We’re focusing on decor here at Dot’s, but if you want to see an amazing vintage wedding dress, check out the full album on Storyboard Wedding.
