Five Ways to Use Mason Jars at Your Wedding

Just face it, mason jars are the cat’s meow. Search them on Pinterest and you will find a zillion cute things to do with them. In fact, we just blogged about how mason jars can make adorable Easter centerpieces on our sister store’s blog, Dot’s Ace Hardware. That got us thinking about jars and how pretty they could be at weddings and when we started looking, we found a ton of great ideas.

We thought we would share our top 5 with you:

1. Serve drinks in them.

Double points if the drink cups also help people with seat assignments at more formal dinners.

2. Use them for guest’s favors.

Cocoa kits for a winter wedding and popcorn or candy for couples who dig sweets are just a couple of options for favors that could go in a jar. Mason jars could also hold confetti or bird or wildflower seeds for guests to throw on the couple as they leave.

3. Line the aisle with them.

Hanging from chairs, hooks, or on the ground, we love the rustic chic vibe.

4. Use them to hold things.

Crayons for the kids table, pens for the guestbook, silverware… everything looks lovelier in a mason jar.

5. Make centerpieces out of them.

This is probably our favorite because you can do so many different things – painted or plain, burlap covered, ribbon-tied, monogrammed, really just a million ways to dress them up, or not, and then fill with flowers. Or twinkle lights. Or candles. OK we’re stopping!
